Vacuum Gas Nitriding

This heat treatment is carried out in vacuum furnaces of different capacities. In them, the temperature and the atmosphere composition are controlled in order to get nitriding layers with a depth up to 0.6 mm. The control of both parameters enable us to fluctuate the thickness of the white layer and to control the diffusion areas.

Through this treatment is possible to get final hardness up to 1200 HV depending on the quality of the material.

This heat treatment provides to pieces many important characteristics like resistance to wear, to corrosion, to thermal fatigue and to friction coefficient. Because of this characteristics this treatment can be applied to any finished piece.
