CARBURIZING
The quality obtained with the carburizing process is the main reason why this treatment is one of the main supports of our Company. It is carried out under the best technical and control conditions. The superficial hardness of the pieces is increased through contribution of carbon to the surface. This contribution achieves elasticity, the core resistance required in each case and the optimum properties against wear.
This process is carried out in double chamber Transfer furnaces and supplies a layer with a depth from 0,1 to 3 mm. The cooling curve is automatically controlled by the carbon potential through an oxygen-probe. It is applied to several kind of pieces as axels, gears, pinions.
CARBONITRIDING
This process, as well as gasses as nitrogen, methanol and propane, which are used in the process of carburizing, supplies ammonia to the atmosphere.The ammonia reacts with the carbon present on the surface of the steel and forms carbonitride. It is usually applied to bolts and screws.
